BassetCARE, Inc.
.......News Letter
Greetings all! This is our first attempt to do an online newsletter, so please feel free to give us feedback at generalinfo@bassetcareinc.org
on what YOU'D like to see in a monthly newsletter!

We've been working diligently to make sure that the local shelters know that we're here to pull homeless and abandoned bassets. We
continue to collaborate with our sister rescues, BROOD and CBHR, in an effort to save the hounds. Plus, we're trying to be visible at local events
in Richmond, Tidewater and northern NC to share information about us, basset rescue in general and more.  On the Richmond side, we've just
affiliated with the Metro Richmond Pet Savers (MRPS)(
http://metrorichmondpetsavers.com) and will be endeavoring to participate in their monthly
events in the Metro Richmond area (volunteers needed!).

As mentioned elsewhere, BassetCARE is in DIRE need of any and ALL kinds of volunteers. In addition to needing foster families, we need
volunteers in just about every aspect of BassetCARE! Please consider serving as a volunteer in any of our catchment areas-northern NC,
Richmond metro and Tidewater-or by serving on the board, on a committee, or just for events!

Please remember-without our volunteers, we cannot exist!!!

We've had several success stories
- happy BassetCARE bassets who've found their "forever homes"  include Bosco, Flash and Maggie Mae,
plus several bassets who never made it to the website because they were lovingly adopted by their foster families! Sadly, however, the loving
foster family of Freckles had to make the difficult decision to let her go to the Bridge. We currently have 3-5 bassets being kenneled due to a lack
of foster homes, with more homeless bassets coming in every week!
Consider fostering-or being a virtual foster?

Have you paid your dues to support BassetCARE? We're 100% dependent on donations, including membership dues! Dues are but one way
you can support the houndies!

We're hoping to have a general membership meeting sometime in the early winter months, most likely to be held in a central location, such
as Williamsburg. Please be on the lookout for the date and plan to come!!!

Thank you for supporting BassetCARE!!!
